Description: The first impression of the revised 2nd edition, published with Tolkien's revisions in 1966. A nice, clean copy. Attractive previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. The map at the rear is in lovely clean condition, the fore-edge bottom corner creased. The coloured top edge is still vivid and the gilt titles at the backstrip bright. The dustjacket is unclipped, split at the corners with minor loss, scuffed along the edges and at the spine tips/corners but is clean in overall Good condition. Not Fine condition by any means but a very presentable copy overall - for best appreciation of condition please examine the accompanying images which are high-resolution.
