The first model was launched in 1968 and the line ended with the Super 66 just six years later. This system had to compete with Hasselblad quality on the high end and Bronica’s lower cost on the other, and the first models did not have interchangeable film backs. The Kowa Six was an affordable alternative to Hasselblad with superb lenses.
