Description: EXTREMELY RARE: The Law of Building Societies Comprising Societies Under the Act, second edition, published in 1882 in London. 283 pages. This is an incredibly rare book. According to WorldCat, there is only one copy in a United States university and just a handful worldwide. There are currently no other listings on eBay, and AddAll has just one listed. The cover shows shelf wear. Cover and binding are pretty tight. The pages are intact. There is some foxing and signs of age. The only handwriting in on the inside cover where a former owner wrote little check marks in a list of other books and a small "18" is written. Otherwise, there are no other signs of handwriting, marks or underlining. "Comprising incorporated building societies: benefit building societies under the Act of 1836; and societies not registered; with model rules, a practical introduction, a digest of the statutes and cases, and a copious index."
