Description: Description and Condition Vintage 1985 USAF SR-71 Blackbird Habu Aircraft Lockheed Martin Handmade Stoneware Mug Stein. My understanding is that these steins were made in limited numbers and given to SR-71 pilots – I acquired this particular stein directly from the pilot. A rare piece and great addition to anyone's military air and space collection. As shown, mug/stein is marked/signed on the bottom: Cheril / 1985 / Mooney Flat Smartville which is in California – please note the word Smartsville is misspelled on the stein. From online research "The Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird" is a retired long-range, high-altitude, Mach 3+ strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed and manufactured by the American aerospace company Lockheed Corporation. On July 27–28, 1976 the SR-71A sets speed and altitude records (altitude in horizontal flight: 85,068.997 ft (25,929.030 m) and speed over a straight course: 2,193.167 miles per hour (3,529.560 km/h)).
