Description: This is an original mosaic art piece made out of cut basketball cards. The design is based on the 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie card. The overall size of the piece is approximately 18" x 24" with the basketball card portion being 15" x 21" or 6 times the size of a standard card. This piece was made by me and is handmade and uses hand cut pieces of basketball cards. Each piece of cut basketball card is glued to a poster board backing. It took me approximately 80 hours to complete. Basketball cards used for this projected include cards from the following sets: 1970-71 Topps Basketball 1976-77 Topps Basketball 1981-82 Topps Basketball 1989-90 Fleer Basketball 1990-91 NBA Hoops 2011 Panini Past and Present Basketball 1987 Donruss Baseball (since MJ did play a little baseball) used for the yellow border on the card.
