Description: The mid century Danish modern Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen “Swan” lounge chair was designed in 1958 by Jacobsen for the lobby of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark, a building he also designed. Along with Jacobsen’s “Egg” chair, the Swan, with its graceful and organic sculptural lines, has become one the most iconic chairs of mid-20th century Danish modern design. This gorgeous pair of vintage yellow Swan chairs feature a 4-star swivel base of injection molded aluminium with one-piece construction found on older production chairs. The chair bases are stamped “FH” and “Made in Denmark” with serial number 520020. Mark also on the stem of base where the original sticker has fallen off.CONDITIONExcellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
