Description: This NRA Commemorative Set is from the estate of a Veteran who was an avid NRA member. These medallions commemorate some of the small arms carried by the US soldier. They are bronze high definition struck medallions presented in a felt lined case. This is a used set. There is only noticeable wear on the plastic case. The medallions are excellent to new. We are including a US Marine Corps "Toys for Tots' commemorative coin size medal as well as a very special WW2 commemorativbe. The full size medallions were subscribed to for $49.95 or more. The first 5 medallions are 38 mm in diameter or 1.5 inches by US measure. The old coin which has rust on it and so many not look like much to you is perhaps the most valuable of the lot, at least in terms of history. Struck from the iron of a German WW2 cannon, it was given to thousands of patriotic Americans who helped save money for the war effort by investing in the Liberty Loan program, i.e. by buying war bonds: the Liberty Loan Act of 1917 authorized the U.S. Treasury to borrow money by selling bonds. This program was critically important to the production of war time materials and air craft. Please study the pictures and ask questions or comment if you'd like to. Thanks for reading.
