Description: I have for sale an ORIGINAL ROUGH RIDERS MARY ASTOR CHARLES FARRELL VINTAGE PHOTO 1927 RARE GLAMOUR. This Photo is Very Fine as it is clean and glossy... no pinholes... Has Rough Riders written on back of the photo along with Movie Stamp. This comes from the famed collection of the Lester Glassner Estate. The Rough Riders, the 1927 Victor Fleming silent Spanish-American War Cuba historical biographical military action adventure thriller ("A Victor Fleming Production"; "'You can't call a man a coward - if he dies trying!'"; "Based on the story by Hermann Hagedorn"; about the equestrian military unit organized by future U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt and its adventures in Cuba during the Spanish-American War of 1898) starring Noah Beery Sr., Charles Farrell, George Bancroft, Charles Emmett Mack, Mary Astor, and Frank Hopper (as Theodore Roosevelt). Note that co-star Charles Emmett Mack had incredibly bad luck in being killed in a car crash the day after this movie had its premiere! Bizarrely, he had only appeared in eleven movies prior to this one, and almost every one (including this one), his character was killed during the movie! Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
