Description: Thanks for looking! The following item is For Sale: ONE (1) Original Thewalt Beer Stein with a scene showing a Man and Woman Arm-in-Arm. Contains two floral panels, also. This stein is a total of 7 3/4" tall, (Including the thumb-piece on the lid.) and 3 1/4" in diameter at the base. The bottom of the Stein includes “Hand painted”, “Alt-Grenzan 1994”, Original Thewalt” and their logo, and “Made in Germany". There is a “Mold Code”(Directly under the handle.) of 176. This Stein IS IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP, and therefore in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The original 49.50 Deutsche Mark price tag is still intact. The 1994 date on the bottom of this stein seems to be a reasonable manufacture date. With the bottom only showing Made in Germany (Not West Germany), and the price tag showing DM as the currency, it must have been made between 1990 (Reunification of Germany) and 2002 (Conversion to the Euro).
