Description: Found at an estate sale in Florida from a collector of crystal, bronzes and fine china. This listing is for a tea pot set by Wedgwood in the Personages pattern. The pink and green coloring is very rare as is the availability of a tea pot with sugar and creamer. These pieces, along with some other cups/saucers and dessert plates were part of a coveted collection. The tea pot holds 20 ounces and measures just short of 5” to the top of the finial and 9” wide from spout to handle. The creamer is 2-1/8” tall. The covered sugar is 4” to the top of the finial. The pink is transfer ware, while the green accents are hand painted. Marked in pink: Parsonages Wedgwood Etruria England Importe E'Angleterre There are impressed marks on other pieces of this set...but not on the tea pot. These marks are either XA or VX. I estimate the date to be around 1890 based on references I've seen. I'm not an expert on dating Wedgwood so please do your own research if this is important to you. Condition: Finial on the teapot has a chip on the underside (see close-up photo) Please note the pot has two hairline cracks. One crack goes lightly through to the bottom. I tested the pot with boiling water and it holds well. No crazing. Please review the pictures closely as they are part of the description. I apologize ahead of time for the cost of shipping.
