This is the first full length animated feature film for Sony Pictures Animation. The movie stars Boog the Bear who starts out living in a Park Ranger's garage. He makes friends with Elliot the Mule Deer after rescuing him from the hood of a truck. Elliot gets Boog into trouble twice. First, he tricks Boog into trashing the local convenience store, and the next day gets Boog in further trouble by messing up his wildlife show in town. It is then that Ranger Beth realizes that she can no longer keep her beloved bear, and sends him (along with Elliot) back to the national forest right outside town.
