Description: Here is an Exceptional Original, Antique 1830’s-Era, American “Pontil-Era” Writing-Ink Bottle-Related “Stampless-Folded-Letter” which is from “Maynard + Noyes ~ Boston Massachusetts”. Maynard + Noyes Is a Company that I have Seen, Over the Many Years, On Early "Paper-Ink-Bottle-Labels" that were Attached to the Original Early-19th. Century "Ink / Utility-Bottles" that were still Adorned with their Elegant Early Labels, Even after Over a 150 + Years of Being Stored inside of Early New England "Estates" or Very Early Druggist or Mercantile Stores. Most of the "Olive-Amber" or Reddish-Amber Colored, Cylindrical Shaped "Utility-Ink-Bottles" were Actually Produced at the Famous Sites of the Stoddard Glass Factory, which was in Operation from the 1840's Until around 1865, when Bottle Production there Stopped and a New Glass Factory was Opened at "Lyndeborough New Hampshire" The Very Early "Labeled" Bottles that were Produced at Stoddard and Other Known New England Bottle-Glass Companies, are always in High Demand at all of the Antique Bottle Shows across the United States. The Classic Early "Parchment-Style" Paper of the "Pre-Postal-Stamp-America" ( Prior to about 1850) was Strong and Durable.
