RAINBOW STRIPE COTTON MCM 1950s Vintage Sleeveless SHIRTWAIST SUN DRESS

Description: Beautiful late 1950s / early 1960s vintage sleeveless day dress made of a soft lightweight cotton fabric in ivory white with a multicoloured vertical stripe pattern and a lime green collar. The dress features a tailored bodice with vertical pleats around the bust, a nipped waist, metal zipper front opening and an A-line cut skirt softly gathered below the waist & ending just below the knee. The dress is unlined. MEASUREMENTS: No labels ... the bust fits a size 32 - 34 bust best (measures 36 inches laid flat), waist measures 27 inches and the hips are free. The dress measures 42 inches in length (and there is an additional almost 4 inches that could be let down from the hem). There is no stretch to the fabric. As always, remember to leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit. CONDITION: Slight wear ... there is a small repair (smaller than a pea) in the back of the dress - that is my knitting needle pointing to it. Not very noticeable due to the pattern and placement.
