Description: For sale is the DVD edition of the Akio Jissoji, Atsushi Kaneko, Hisayasu Satō, and Suguru Takeuchi directed 2005 Japanese anthology film Rampo Noir, based on the works of Edogawa Ranpo and starring Tadanobu Asano, Mikako Ichikawa, Yumi Yoshiyuki, Ryuhei Matsuda, Hiroki Narimiya, and Nao Ōmori. This DVD was released by Universe Laser & Video Co., Limited of Hong Kong in 2005. The DVD is Region 3. Description A Japanese anthology film consisting of four segments on works by Edogawa Ranpo. Mars Canal—A story told without speaking. It tells the story of a naked man who wanders through a depressing and desolate landscape recalling memories of his former lover. Mirror Hell—The story revolves around a detective who is trying to find out why several women are being found dead with burnt faces and charred skulls. During his investigation he finds an odd hand mirror at the scene that starts unraveling the mystery. Caterpillar—A war hero returns home with severe injuries. He is deaf with no limbs and only his eyesight remaining. His beautiful wife, tired of taking care of him, turns to torturing him for her amusement. Crawling Bugs—An actress is returning home from a successful night on stage, until her limo driver decides that she should be coming home with him.Condition This DVD is in very good condition. The slipcase has light edgewear, including a couple of small, light creases along the bottom edge but no tears, stains, or other major damage. The case is not cracked and has no major damage. The outer artwork has no tears, creases, stains, or any major damage. No insert, likely as issued. The DVD has a couple of very small, very light scratches but no major damage and plays perfectly.
