Description: Extremely rare booklet cataloguing a watch collection loaned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Full title is: Collection of Watches Loaned by Mrs. George A. Hearn to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Privately printed in 1907 by the renowned Gilliss Press, it is very high quality, consisting of 34 pages of text and nine group photographs of watches in the collection. The photographs are intaglio printed on heavy stock with protective tissues. It is noted that the photographs ?were made expressly for this catalogue by Mr. Charles Balliard.? The booklet is in very good condition but with minor damage to the stiff covers which are age-tanned and have some damage to the spine, including a loose flap about 1½ inches long at the bottom. The cover also shows some staining which can be seen in one of the scans. We are also showing the title page, the photo used as a frontispiece and the front free endpaper which has on it the stamp of a previous owner. Dimensions are: 9½ inches high by 6? inches wide.
