Description: Very rare, intact full mint sheet of Greenland and Faroe Islands “Glaedelig Jul”Christmas Seals, issued in 1959–over 60 years ago! Christmas seals actually originated in Denmark in 1904, as a way to raise funds to help children who were sick with Tuberculosis. Christmas seals appeared in the US a few years later, in 1907. This rare, complete 1959 sheet were issued for use in the Danish territories of Greenland and the Faroe Islands, it has full original gum and all of the border material.
