Description: Rare Antique Composition German Pop Up Jack in the Box Doll in Card Can Estate Find..... This is a German pop up toy consisting of a cardboard "can" that has a graphic for pears. When the tin latch (which is missing) is pushed back, a composition/paper mache head doll on a spring pops out. The doll head is in good condition showing some glue residue to neck and wearing a fragile crepe paper top. Bottom of the can marked Germany. Research online dates this back to 1890. Last picture shows what the latch is supposed to look like. It is missing on this can. Thank you for supporting my small home business.
