Description: This is a beautiful and RARE Antique Mid Century Modern Spanish Abstract Oil Painting on canvas, by early Spanish modernist Antonio Estradera (1909 - 1985.) This work depicts a colorful and abstracted cityscape of a small Spanish town, with beautiful and frenetic splashes of blue, red and green. Artworks by Antonio Estradera are very rare, and seldom come up for sale outside of Europe. Signed: “Estradera” in the lower right corner. Additionally it is signed “Estradera” in graphite on the top stretcher bar Approximately 30 3/4 x 38 7/8 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 24 x 32 inches. Good condition for age, with a few spots of very light craquelure (please see photos.) Original period frame has some mild scuffing, edge wear and paint loss.
