Description: Rare Falls City Ice & Beverage Co. High Grade Sanitary Beverages Prohibition Era Bottle. From 1919 - 1933, Fall's City Brewing Company survi ed by turning into Fall's City Ice and Beverage Company. I have no idea what a High Grade Sanitary Beverage is though. Sounds like booze sold as medicine to me. This bottle is how I found it. The dust and residue still inside, I leave it to the buyer to clean. There are two chips on the bottom (see pics). I have had this for a few years and have never found another like it, and I live in Louisville. Some similar for soft drinks but NONE like this! This is a 100% certain, prohibition era bottle. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Falls City Brewing Company was based in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The company operated from 1905 until 1978. After the company closed the Falls City brand was purchased by differing groups of investors over the years. In 1919 the brewery was closed for Prohibition and the company reorganized. From 1919 to 1933 the company survived as the Falls City Ice and Beverage Company by producing ice, soft drinks, and near beer. Despite no longer being able to brew alcoholic beer, the company prospered. *You may also want to check out Seller harmony3197 for hundreds of additional items including military patches and memorabilia, housewares, art works, and more! *We have a Buy/Sell/Trade warehouse chock full of brand-new and used items from close-outs, auctions, estate sales, and just plain old family "hand-me-downs" so if you don't see it listed on our pages just ask and we probably have it!
