Circular design, similar in size to the Imperial German Army belt buckle (55mm in diameter). Cotton wick is still present under screw cap, although there is no flint. I don't see any hallmarks. Although well over one hundred years old, this item is in excellent condition for its age. It makes a fantastic display for collectors of WW1 German items, or vintage trench lighters.
