I have powered on and tried to use this and had issues. First off it does not have the remote control. The video in port and out ports work well. The playback came through in black and white from the 8mm cassette I was using. Tracking or frame was glitchy and unfortunately using a digital tv was cutting in and out with label of no signal. Rewind and fast forward functioned. I just could not get steady playback and even when I tried to record in from line in, while everything looked like it would be fine on tv screen, I did not get a good playback.
