Also, please check all of the electrical connections related to the alternator to verify that there are no frayed or corroded cables, poor battery terminal clamps, or any loose or corroded connections in the system. The warranty was 6 months from date of purchase. Units which have been damaged due to negligence on the part of the installer are not covered under warranty.
