Description: These output sockets from Maton Guitars Australia are the same as those fitted to Matons with AP4, AP5 and APMic pickups. They are perfect fro replacing worn, crackly or otherwise faulty jacks. Please check the pickup in your guitar to find the correct jack you need. This one has the flat cable whereas the newer model guitars/pickups have a cable with a socket at the end similar to a phone socket. - For AP-4, AP-5 & APMic model pickup systems - 3-Wire ribbon type cable - Genuine Maton part - Specially switching jack - Includes nut, washer & 3-wire cable - Requires no soldering to fit No soldering is required, the wire from the jack is a push fit. To replace the jack remove the preamp/control unit and unclip the plastic box apart. Take note of how the original jack ribbon-wire is installed and replace this with the wire from the new jack. Test before reassembling the control unit to ensure the ribbon-wire is around the right way. If the pickup doesn't work try reversing the wire.
