Description: Very rare and a neat find. This is a lead field made button mould, dug out of a revolutionary war camp. Poured into wood. You can see the wood grain in the lead. Then a button face was pushed into the lead to make the mould. Unfortunately the button used was blank. It measures 28mm X 28.5mm and is 4mm thick. The buttons made would be 18mm.
