PLEASE READ - Before purchasing, open up your S-550 and verify if your hardware revision has removable ROM sockets or if the ROM chips are soldered directly to the mainboard. (If your S-550 has the ROM chips soldered in, then you already have the 2.00 upgrade)If you are some how unclear of what mainboard revision you have in your S-550, take a picture of what you're looking at and send me a message thanks. Noteworthy details about the 2.00 upgrade: This version 2.00 upgrade is serves as a supplemental release, intended to iron out any remaining kinks affecting general stability, bugs and improve performance within the firmware code. To check the current firmware version installed on your S-550: First - a monitor needs to be connected to the RGB port of the sampler Power on the S-550 while holding down the [1] button located on the DATA ENTRY keypad. While holding down the [1] button until "Please Insert System Disk" is displayed, insert system disk v1.13 Still holding the [1] button, wait for the disk to load and count down from track 80 to 0 and then press the [DEC/NO] button when prompted with the “Next Disk Please” message. You’re not done yet. Press the following buttons in exact order [FUNC] / [MENU] / [ DOWN ARROW ] / [EXECUTE] / [MENU] / [1] / [DEC/NO] After all of that, the following message should be displayed: Ver # disp MT25 ROM.
