Description: Mid Century Art Pottery Planter Scottie Terrier Schnauzer Westie Dog Japan This preowned, cute as a button dog planter is in good condition. It has been used an loved before and has now been cleaned up and ready for a new home. He is originally from Japan but his mark on the bottom has been washed away. Conditional issues on this little guy are limited, There is a very small amount of staining inside, mainly in harder to reach areas, as there was dirt inside at one time. There is a small paint flake on the top of the left ear. There are a few flea bites here and there on this piece. The largest issue is this birthmark on his nose. There is an area of white on the left side of his nose. It is not a chip or a scratch. There is glaze over the top of this white discoloration. It is almost as though paint got smeared off before it was glazed. This area is smooth to the touch and shiny so we believe it is a manufacturing flaw. There are no obvious chips, cracks or fractures. There may be a very light amount of crazing in areas not visible. The colors are clear and the gloss is very shiny and bright. This little dog measures approximately 7.25" tall x 4" wide x 8.5" long. It is relatively heavy weighing in at almost 2 lbs. The depth of the planter is about 1.75"-2" worth of room from to bottom, perhaps a little bit more with about a 2.75" long opening. Although this item can be used with live plants we don't suggest it and suggest using faux greenery instead.
