The HD599 'phones were released to little fanfare, but I feel they deserve some love and attention. If great sound is your bag, well, that's the main focus here. Impressive bass for an open-back design, and really fine detail in the mids and highs. Their soft earpads stayed comfortable through an entire work shift at my house. (Just note that they do leak sound — I decided against wearing them at the office.)
