Description: This is a neat, unique piece of German Naval postal history! It's a quite large cover(w/ minor staining, but quite a number of creases, a roughly-opened left side, and a back flap that is more than 95% complete, but has a small tear) sent by a German sailor serving aboard the S.M.S. Kaiser Wilhelm II on July 23, 1907! The "Kaiser Wilhelm II," was a Kaiser Friedrich III-class, pre-dreadnought battleship that was cruising in and around Norway at the time of writing. To continue, outside of some minor staining/toning around some of its perfs, and some minor creases in the stamp caused by the envelope under it having been creased some, the red, 10-Pfennig, "Germania," German definitive is in good condition. Both of the Kais. Deutche Marine Schiffspost No. 57 CDSs are excellent! The receiving cancel(7/26/07) from the Wilhelmshaven P.O. is quite fine, too, though a bit light/faded in areas. Noted imperfections aside, this remains an attractive, uncommon piece of German Naval postal history!
