The amplifiers he used for this project are high quality and powerful to drive any headphones I know. This Sonance – Soamp 260 is one of the amplifiers he converted. This amp was tested with headphones such as Abyss1266, Hifiman HE-6, Audeze LCD-3/4/5, Senheiser HD-800…At normal sound intensity, I could not tell the sound difference comparing to other headphone amplifiers that cost several thousand $. This amp can drive hungry power headphones such as HiFiman HE-6 with ease and still has lot of headroom left. Please view the photo for the amp physical condition. The out put for headphones is 4-pin male XLR. A 4-pin female XLR to ¼” female adapter is included (as shown in the photo) with the amplifier. The amplifier is very powerful. It’s recommended to keep the volume all the way to the left before turn it up to prevent headphone damage.
