Description: This is a THOMAS ROWLANDSON Original Antique ETCHING with Hand Coloring 1813 plate 29 DR. SYNTAX taking pofsefsion (possession) of his Living. It is framed and matted with the frame measuring 13-1/4" X 10-1/4" - the etching measuring 8-1/4" X 5-1/4". Printed at the top of the etching- London: Published Apr. 1, 1813 at R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts 101 Strand. The etching shows foxing but seems to be in good condition - no rips or tears. The frame is in poor condition and the print will need to be reframed. It was framed at Michelson's in Washington DC - a Fine Picture Framing and Gallery that was in business for over a century and who showcased works by many famous artists. Please examine my pictures carefully as they are the best descriptors. My knowledge of antique prints and etchings is limited so please email me if I have stated anything incorrectly.
