RS Hitch Installation Instructions 1- To take the weight off the back end of the motorcycle, use a floor jack to elevate the rear wheel off the ground. 2- On either side of the axle, you will find two (2) plastic covers. Remove them. 3- Then, detach the cotter pin on the right side. 4- Next, unbolt and completely remove the axle. 5- Locate the supplied side plates. 6- Then, find the spacers on the sides of the axle and replace them with the "left" and "right" plates respectively. 7- Now, move the axle back into place, bolt it, and secure it with the cotter pin.8- Align the holes of the hitch to the holes of the side plates.9- Next, insert the supplied bolts from the inside of the hitch through the aligned holes.10- Screw the nuts on and tighten until snug, then attach the plastic nut covers. *It is easier if the parking brake is not on.
