Description: For sale here is a hard to find US WW1 North Carolina Service or Victory Medal. This medal includes a blue enamel and gold oak leaf bar. I feel like i have seen these bars elsewhere, but i found this bar with this medal in a display case, so i am leaving them together. This medal is complete with safety pin style pin. The ribbon is in rough condition, and is barely holding together. The front of the medal is marked Great Seal of the State of North Carolina World War Service, and the back is marked Presented by the State of North Carolina to: For Honorable Service. Made for H. Mahlers Sons Raleigh NC by the Robbins Co. Attleboro Mass. The bar features gorgeous blue enamel with golden oak or maple leaf motif and has a functional roller lock catch and pin. Both pieces show age, wear, use, and patina. It is unfortunate that the ribbon is in such rough condition, but this is still a hard to find and nice medal.
