He is wearing a rough-cut red gingham vest with black buttons and a plaid patch that matches his green plaid pants and hat. He is carrying a primitive American flag with a tin star attached on his arm. His legs are floppy to easily hang over a ledge or chair. He has a tea stained look to his clothing and flag to give it an old, grubby primitive look.
