There are no chips, cracks or scratches. I think it has lived its entire life in this box. The screw on caps appear to be stainless steel (no age tarnish). The original black box has a fitted maroon velvet liner that the shakers fit comfortably in. The clasp is complete and works fine. I got this beautiful set of crystal Salt & Pepper Shakers from my mom’s estate. She received it as a wedding present in 1941, and never used it.
