This is my personal 1960's Red Cross Volunteer Dress Uniform from Travis Air Force Base. My husband was a C133 pilot and we were stationed at Travis AFB in the 1960's. Be sure to look at all pictures closely to see details. Please disregard changes in depth of color which may be caused by ceiling lights, windows, photography, computer or editing software. Description: There are no dress tags that identify either the size, fabric content or place of manufacture. The neck tag says the Dilly Company made the dress. I was 5 ft. 7-1/2 in. at the time and hand stitched the hem up about 2-1/2 in. so it would be the proscribed length below my knees. The hem thread is coming loose in one place. I probably wore a size 10. The belt was also too long, so I made a 1/2 in. tuck and hand stitched it down. That was 62 years ago. As far as I know there have been no other alterations. Approximate measurements while lying flat.
