Description: Original vintage 1960s American yarn painting. Depicts a stunning image of Looney Tunes Tweety Bird. This tremendous and eye catching piece was handmade with coiled yarn in wood by a long time art professor in West Brookfield, MA who went by the nickname Chick. Unfortunately, the person who sold these to us could not recall the name of the artist, just his nickname. I was told “Chick”, a man, was a long time art professor in West Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts; quite worthy of further research. Wonderfully done with each piece of yarn meticulously coiled and glued to an antique pine board. Eye catching and vibrant. Signed in yarn in the bottom right hand corner Chick. In Good overall condition. Exhibits gentle wear and soiling. Pine board background is worn and has a great distressed look to it. Ready to hang! Measures 19” x 7 3/4”.
