Description: A classic vintage tight knit cotton Champion football jersey/shirt from the early 1970s, in a gorgeous faded orange, in an approximate size small. The shirt is of the classic football design, made by Champion and other brands at the time, with a yoke across the chest and shoulder blades, and oversized sleeves. The shirt features tags on the neck and on the front by the hem, as you see commonly with jerseys, these with the classic 70s blue bar champion logo. The color and feel of the shirt is the standout feature, being a gorgeous orange color that fades to yellows and pinks throughout the neck and shoulders. You commonly see the later incarnation of these football shirts made of nylon and rayon, and usually made of mesh, this being the older cotton version. Although there is no indication of this on the labels, I suspect that this particular shirt was a youth size large, given the strange proportions. As it is, the shirt is best worn as a cropped size small, but check the measurements below before purchasing. It could have also been aggressively shrunk at some point, but that seems less likely.
