Likely a humorous reference from the The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, based on the colors and where the shirt was found. A great old-school Velva Sheen tag on the neck, of the type that has recently been recreated for the brand's heritage line. In addition to the natural distressing, the previous owner has also cut the sides to make side slits, likely to better resemble a pajama top. A great school shirt, nonetheless.
