No attempt to polish or clean the brass has been made by the seller. The canopy is made of spun brass. It is about 6 1/2" in diameter and 1 3/16" in height. The center hole is about 3/8" in diameter and the two 3/16" mounting holes are 4" center-to-center. The brass is free of cracksor repairs. The Underwriters' Laboratories sticker shown in the photos identifies the John C. Virden Co. as the producer.
