Description: Here's a lovely oval bowl with a center floral pattern, and shiny gold trim applied to both layers of pierced rim triangle and diamond cutouts. It stands on four feet and measures 6.5" x 4.5". The rose decoration looks to be a transfer decal to which hand-painting has been applied under glaze. It may all be transferware with only the gold hand-painted. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, crazing. Remarkably no wear to the gold accent and very few light scratches. The blue backstamp has the Arnart Creations importer's crossed arrows logo and the number 7411. Some collector's mistakenly attribute this pretty bowl to turn-of-the century Kalk due to backstamp similarities. However, this beauty was imported from Japan in the 1950s. Thanks for looking.
