There are four different height settings (see below for seat heights as well as a pic with tape measure) so, these can be customized to fit your table, counter or bar top specifically. Not to mention the versatility of being able to use in multiple locations at different seat heights and accommodate multiple guests! By simply removing the nut and bolt in the middle of the center post, you can choose from four different heights and place the bolt and nut in the corresponding hole. The backrest that previously had very noticeable scratches has been touched up and color blended to be virtually unnoticeable. All the chrome was reinspected and all of the surface rust that was previously present was easily buffed away with some fine steel wool and now looks shiny and new! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Vintage Mid-Century Modern Set of 4 Adjustable Height MCM Atomic Swivel Barstools Counter stools Wood Slat Back Backrest Black Metal Frame Chrome Footrest Black Vinyl Seats D E S C R I P T I O N: This set of 4 beautiful Mid-Century Modern Atomic Swivel Height Adjustable Bar Stools feature an eight-slat wood back, whiskey barrel style backrest, classic black metal Atomic legs, chrome footrest and feet and black vinyl seats. The vinyl is in excellent condition with no tears or damage. Chrome and black metal frames have very minimal wear on the chrome feet and footrest and imperfections in the paint that is consistent with the age of these stools. C O N D I T I O N: Excellent Vintage Condition. There are a couple of places that show some wear, but these are consistent with the age and history of the stools. One of the swivel barstools has all four original plastic feet on the chrome caps of the black metal legs. We added felt/foam pads to the bottom of the chrome caps on the legs of the other three stools. One of those three stools is missing the chrome cap on one of the legs. See pics for close-ups. If you plan to use these on carpet or outdoors, this won't be an issue. You could also look into replacing the chrome caps with another style foot on the other three barstools.
