Description: Took this pretty Silver .999 trinket box to a Dallas jewelery shop who has been in the same location for over 30 years . He has helped identify sterling pieces for me before. He tested it and said it was silver and he had not seen any trinket box marked .999 before. He further said he would need to have someone read the oriental mark before he would know any more. The silver seems to be wrapped around very thin pieces of wood. Don't know what kind it is. There is an oriental mark along the side of the top edge. This box has some scratches and dents. The box is about 4.75 X 1.75 X 3-3/8". The oriental marks can be seen in picture #9 It is also marked Silver .999 on the bottom edge. Weight of the box is about 9.5 ounces.
