Description: Up for sale today is a Vintage Thomas Industries "Star Light" Mid-Century style Glass & Chrome Light Fixture! This fixture is NOS or "New Old Stock", found in a local estate still in its original box with original paper wrapping inside. The box had been opened, but everything was still inside. The glass shade has a white star burst pattern and measures approx. 5 1/4" x 11 1/2". The box says its a wall mount fixture or sconce, though I think it could be used as a ceiling light as well. The chrome ceiling mount is approx. 5" in diameter and 7/8" tall. It has a built-in two-prong outlet in the side. The socket is a two-bulb. Overall the fixture is in good condition having been stored away for years. There maybe some light storage wear to the chrome, as in light rubs or spots. There's also a small spot of surface rust inside/underneath the chrome. The glass shade has a couple of rough corners and some roughness around the mounting hole, which I think is typical of these types of fixtures.
