Description: Vintage Yamaha CR-620 Stereo Receiver - 35 watts per channel; 20" x 16" x 6 1/2" - 23 lbs. 1977 This stereo receiver was cleaned with compressed air and deoxit. The wood case has some chipping to the edges but is in good condition. The faceplate was cleaned and polished, and all the inputs were working as expected. All the knobs and buttons functioned correctly. I replaced the meter and dial lamps and set the Idle current to 8.1 mV per service manual. The back metal is pushed on the side where the AM antenna is broken. I had the tuner AM/FM fixed by Stereo Lab in Columbus, OH - June 14, 2024. The stereo was working fine, and then I lost the sound with the receiver (most likely because I used 6 ohm and 8-ohm speakers in tandem). I changed the protection relay switch, but this did not correct the issue. I have checked the amplifier outputs and found that 3 of the 4 are okay but have decided this is not worth my time to repair since I have other stereos to listen to. Hopefully someone will want to repair and save this stereo or use the stereo for parts. Returns not accepted since this unit is being sold as is and producing no sound. I will securely ship with bubble wrapping and a double box.
