Description: Stunning rich blue pottery bowl from what is believed to be the oldest pottery in America from the small town of Bybee, Kentucky. Handmade and signed BB So beautiful how the terra-cotta was allowed to come through to accent the paint and glaze. Bybee has now closed and this is a rare discontinued and highly collectible piece. This wonderful piece of American pottery history is 4 3/4" h x 11 1/8" diameter. It is in lovely condition. No chips or breaks or cracks. Catches the light beautifully. A true heirloom! Will wrap with extra care, lots of foam to keep it immobilized and double box it. Be sure to look at the Fed Ex shipping price as well. As a general rule, I have found that Fed Ex is more careful with breakables. So if it is a similar price I’d go with Fed Ex.
