In years past I was the club advisor and chief instructor for an Aikido club at the college where I teach (Saint John's University in central Minnesota). Over the years, I accumulated a fair amount of surplus gear as students came and went and left gear behind. Some years back the club folded as a result of weak student leadership, illness and infirmity on my part, and declining student interest in something as esoteric as Aikido. I've been selling off the surplus gear that accumulated. Here I'm offering a rather long (nearly 14 inch) tanto that was among the assorted weapons that accumulated over the years. It would be an excellent accompaniment for a practitioner who already has a jo and ken. The item is in excellent condition - completely unblemished.
