Author Biography Scott H. Hendricks (1949 - ) has been a resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1978. He grew up in Sacramento, California, where he graduated from Rio Americano High School. He received his BA degree in English and American Studies from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Scott has been a teller of tall tales since before he entered school and actually took his first writing class in third grade. After studying English and American Studies he spent the last forty years in banking and finance; while writing articles and critiques for literary magazines and quarterlies. He, his wife, Lynda and his six month old daughter moved to South Dakota from Placerville, California. Around 1990 he wanted to move his writing into fiction and started to write poetry and short stories. He won several poetry contests and published several short stories and poem in magazines and e-zines. He finished his first book, "River of Tears" in 2006. Since then he has written "Theft of Innocence" and "The Hunter". This effort came from a challenge from his granddaughter, Madison. It is a childrens mystery novel, "Who is the Bully".
