All original ribbons present, but most no longer attached at top, no loose or missing pages. Bindings are sturdy. Touch of wear to extremities, slight bit of cracking to front/back interior hinges of volume 1, scattered foxing/toning to interior, small bit of foxing/age spotting to a few of the boards, gilded page ends show minor scuffs/rubs, otherwise in very nice shape.
